There is absolutely nothing better on a hot, sweltering day in Singapore than a T2 iced tea named the Fruitalicious Spritzer. I recently discovered how easy this was to make and believe me, it’s going to start featuring at any event I host in future. Tangy, sweet (but without any added sugar), refreshing and sparkling, this is the perfect beverage for our climate. It looks pretty impressive in a huge jug full of fruit and ice and you can also “adult” it at any time by adding alcohol.

We recently spent a morning at the new T2 outlet, ION Orchard with the incomparable Frankie, their tea ambassador and tea pro from Sydney who had flown in just for the launch of their third store. Believe it or not, Frankie was a freelance graphic designer and photo retoucher before falling in love with tea making and his enthusiasm is catching. I have never drank so much tea in my life since meeting him! Brewing up a jug of this iced tea recipe has become a daily ritual because it’s a great way to stay hydrated. I’ve also made a batch or two of Chai and am about to embark on a journey of discovering matcha.

Here’s how to make the T2 Fruitalicious Spritzer for two and it couldn’t be easier!

ICED TEA SPRITZER FOR TWO

What you’ll need:
  • T2 Fruitilicious tea
  • T2 Teamaker
  • T2 Perfect Scoop
  • T2 Timer
  • 2 X double-walled glasses
  • Ice
  • Fresh fruit
  • 100ml soda water
  • 400ml boiling water

T2 shops feature an experiential counter where you can touch and smell their dry teas.
Method:
  1. Add four perfect scoops of T2 Fruitalicious to the Teamaker and fill with boiling water
  2. Brew for three to five minutes
  3. Fill both double-walled glasses with ice
  4. Sit the teamaker onto each glass to dispense the tea

  5. Garnish with fresh fruit and a splash of soda water
  6. Enjoy with a friend!
